We understand that conflict is a normal part of everyday life and the Columbia Basin Dispute Resolution Center is ready to help you successfully deal with those conflicts. Our services are here to support families, individuals, businesses and organizations, as well as, education and training programs in mediation and conflict resolution.

Recruitment and Training
We provide a variety of training programs, seminars, and workshops to improve your skills in mediation services. We teach you to become a facilitative mediator, or help you with communication at work or home. We offer presentations and skill building workshops on a regular basis. To learn more contact us.
Tenants/Property Managers/Landlords
For many conflicts involving rental disputes, you are almost always better off first trying to resolve disputes directly with your landlord, or tenant, rather than marching off to a lawyer's office or small claims court. But if relations are so strained that no meeting seems possible, or you've been unsuccessful in negotiating a settlement agreement, it may be time to consider mediation services by a neutral, third party mediator. In an effort to increase housing stability we offer our mediation services at no charge for Landlord/Tenant cases. Mediation will almost always be less stressful and often result in solutions that are more satisfactory with long lasting results for all involved in comparison to taking things to the attorney and court.

Empowering you to resolve conflicts successfully
Mediation is one way that people can resolve their conflicts and maintain or improve the quality of the relationship with the other people involved. The most important reason to mediate is that instead of a third party whom you cannot control, such as a judge or arbitrator, deciding your case, you will have a dispute resolution that is satisfactory to you. Our mediation services are voluntary, confidential, and affordable. Our mediation fees are based on a sliding fee scale and no one is turned away because of low income.
